Transition

IMG_3305Picking up where I left off with Outfit August, here are a few picks from last week. Starting with Thursday‘s food shopping outfit. It has gotten rather cold in Prague so I’m currently wearing lots of variations of this outfit: opaque tights, sweater or leather jacket, cute dress, cute flats.

I’m sorry the photo above is so grainy, it was dark by the time we got to the store and since I hadn’t been documenting my outfits at the beginning of the week, I wanted to have at least something to show you. My outfit consisted of several old pieces (both my dress and the sweater are really old; the dress is from H&M and I bought it in 2011 – I haven’t worn it in ages but because of Outfit August, I decided to revisit it.) I’m wearing a (new) flower headband but you can’t really see it (which was my lazy equivalent of making an effort). The shoes are also new, I bought them in the middle of summer this year in the Topshop sale, they were super cheap. Right away I knew I wanted to wear them with black opaque tights to really highlight those awesome cut-outs (as much as I dislike cut-outs on dresses, I LOVE them on shoes!)

OA Eight Nine Ten

IMG_3221August 8, Friday: A really casual and simple outfit, worn out to play each volleyball with friends. (On the way there I had on a swimsuit underneath but these photos were taken when we came home and I had showered and changed.) The dress is from H&M and I really like the color and the texture of the dress, though I absolutely hate the cutouts! (Though I did like how they looked with my tankini underneath, so maybe next time I’ll wear some pop color tank top under the dress, that could be interesting.) The dress is new, bought super cheaply in the last days of the sales.  My bag is Zara and my shoes are Mel bow sandals.

Summer Time Staples

summer time staplesThe summer season is my favorite, I love those days when the sun is shining and it’s hot. I particularly love when all I have to wear is a little dress or a skirt and top. But I also appreciate jean jackets. The outfit above – taken last Saturday, August the 9th – is a true representation of my summer staples.

OA6: Cinema Date

vintage dress vivienne westwood heels melissaAnother rare up-to-date photo! This outfit was from last night when M and I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy. The film was okay and I thought Rocket was just adorable, obviously, now I want a raccoon. But back to the outfit…

wednesday adams style

This outfit is actually from a while ago (photos taken at the end of June, when it was a rainy colder day, way before our London adventures) but it has taken me sooo long to blog about it, which is rather surprising as I loved this look. Continue reading Ootd: school girl rock chick

LONDON recap

airport chicSo I finally have all of our London photos and I must warn you, there are quite a few! That’s why I decided to divide this post into three. This particular post will contain photos from days one and two.  Above is a photo taken at the Prague airport – as you can see I was excited about our trip and dressed in my typical airport attire: skinny jeans, trainers, leather jacket. Huge handbag to fit all of my crap (my kindle fire, a magazine, lip balm, tissues, my passport, boarding pass, wallet, phone, mp3 player, a pashmina in case it gets cold).

Little Hearts Everywhere

Topshop heart playsuitThe day of my exam I bought this lovely playsuit over at Topshop and I originally picked out two more dresses but then I decided only to buy the playsuit. It was the last one available and it’s two sizes bigger than my size but I thought I’d just adjust it with mmy sewing machine  at home, but when I tried it on later that day, I decided the only thing it really needed was a belt to clench it in (also getting rid of the cut-out, I’m not really a fan of cut-outs). I wore the playsuit Wednesday night to go to the movies. It was a great night and I was so happy to have my exam done with.

London 2012

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we visited London again in July 2012 for another wonderful vacation (although it had rained almost entirely throughout our trip). This time we stayed for 6 days (5 nights) so we got to experience a tad more than on our first trip. The photo below is one of my favorites from our trip because that dog was adorable and oh so cuddly and also because it is the only photo I have of that scarf (which I sadly lost during this trip).
