Rome… Again?!

Are you sick of Rome yet? I hope not but this will be the last Rome themed post for a while, I promise. Today I’m sharing with you our first Roman Holiday, when we visited Rome in September 2012.

3397_10151083901643927_13804405_nWe had three days in Rome and M managed to fit everything into our holiday (it was a bit too much actually, M is a bit of a slave-driver when we are on holiday and at one point my foot was bleeding from a bad blister and he was like “stop stalling, walk faster, we have to see this and this” and I was just dying. Admittedly he had warned me to wear different shoes but still! This time around we had a more relaxing holiday and I was very thankful!)

When in Rome… Pt.1

20150501_170907We had a really great time in Rome, thanks to the pleasure only really good weather and amazing food can bring. My top three things that are important in life (besides good company) are weather, food, and a tie between books/movies (and possibly shoes). Anyways, we arrived on Friday, picked up our Rome passes and then took the train to Termini station, then a tram to our hotel. We took a selfie, I don’t wear make-up when I’m traveling, it just feels uncomfortable for me, so this is one of the few times you’ll ever see a photo of me without any make-up.

Christmas time Vienna mini-break

Back in December M and I went on an extended-weekend mini-break to visit Vienna and enjoy their lovely Christmas themed booths selling fruity wine and candy. Heaven.

I kiss better than I cook I absolutely love that sign. So fun! And nutella’s great too. It was rather cold (mainly because I didn’t bring my warmest winter coat, stupid me) so I was glad I had my cozy reindeer sweatshirt.

Packing List

Tomorrow I’m heading to NYC for a week of sightseeing, shopping and overeating – in other words, a typical holiday. Anyways, since I need to start packing I thought I’d share my packing list. We’re going for seven days and I’m both super thrilled and a little nervous (especially about Mr. Pig – my sister will be staying at my place and taking care of him). But it’s all good. Here’s what I’m taking on this exciting adventure.

The most essential item on my list is a pair of skinny jeans.

skinny jeans As my preferred type is a dark wash with a slight stretch to them, I’m taking my favorite pair from Mango and I’ll be wearing them for the flight as I want to be both relatively comfortable but not sluggish.

London 2012

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we visited London again in July 2012 for another wonderful vacation (although it had rained almost entirely throughout our trip). This time we stayed for 6 days (5 nights) so we got to experience a tad more than on our first trip. The photo below is one of my favorites from our trip because that dog was adorable and oh so cuddly and also because it is the only photo I have of that scarf (which I sadly lost during this trip).
