My Obsession

tattooed modelTo start off I have a photo from a photoshoot I did a while ago (it was right before I got my Mr.Pig tattoo). The brand is called My Obsession and the clothes are very provocative and sexy. Then I have an outfit from the end of July, when we went to see a summer Shakespearean adaptation and it was a horrible rainy day but otherwise it was an interesting experience.

Wish List

bird tree cage earringsI mentioned in one of my recent posts that I’ve bought some earrings and though I do love the ones I bought, I just had to share two pairs that I am head over heels in love with and also am seriously lusting after. They aren’t cheap so this will be just a platonic love affair, e.g. why this is only a wishlist and not a things I bought post. Okay, so the first pair is a lovely pair of mismatched earrings. I first saw them over on the Pixiwoo Madness vlog and fell in love with them straight away. One earring is a pretty tree and the second is a bird and a bird cage. I did track it down (the link supplied by Sam wasn’t working) here but $72.00 is a bit much for me to spend on a pair of earrings. The second pair…

Forgotten Outfits

outfit collageThese four outfits have something in common – they’re all from July and I hadn’t posted about them yet. It’s not that I think the outfits weren’t  nice or anything, it’s just I’m not 100% happy with the photos. Funnily enough, looking at the photos together has brought to my attention that they also have something else in common too – they are all below-the-knee length. Anyways, I was going through my photos on my computer and I thought it’d be a shame not to post them, so here they are…

Mon Cowboy

cowboy bootsThis outfit is from Sunday and was created around this leather jacket. (I bought the jacket in Camden for ten pounds, crazy!) I knew I wanted to wear the jacket (it’s finally the perfect weather for it) and so I went for a very simple outfit underneath – t-shirt and a black cardigan, skinny jeans – then it was just a question of shoes and bag:

Thrifted shopper

IMG_3474This outfit is from Saturday and it’s one of my favorite outfits that I’ve worn lately. It was one of the final hot days of summer (well at least half of the day was quite warm), so I decided to wear one last bare legged look. We went to the vegetable market and bought loads of lovely veggies, so I wanted something comfortable but still interesting. I first chose the dress. It’s an old thrift store find but funnily enough, I had never worn it before. It used to be a bit too big (and still is a tad) but I felt it looked quite nice. I really like the skirt part of the dress (the top part is actually really boring). I love the color of the dress and the texture, it’s like you’re really wearing gold. I wanted to stay with a gold theme but also keep things casual. There was walking involved so I was definitely going to wear a flat shoe, I chose this pair of sandals because it’s still casual but there is some sophistication as well. And the gold studs went nicely with the dress.

Transition Almost Complete

IMG_3361I may have mentioned once or like a million times that it has gotten autumn cold here in Prague. Cue in the transition wardrobe – layering is key. I love a longer top with a cropped leather jacket over it. Then just a pair of skinny jeans and ta da, you’re ready to go. This outfit is from exactly one week ago. Though I do really like this outfit, I absolutely dislike the photos. My phone doesn’t take good quality photos when it’s dark 😦

WIW

IMG_3293The title of the post basically says it all (WIW = What I Wore). The photo above may be super old, as is the dress, but I re-wore it this week (without managing to take a new photo). But then again, I’ll use any excuse to feature Mr. then-tiny Pig. (I also adore this photo because we seem to have the same stupid expression on our faces!) Anyways, the dress is H&M and it has pockets. This time around I wore it with a black thin belt and my current favorite flat shoes:

Never Ending St..udying

IMG_3325Maintenant, je passe mon temps avec le français – en approchant le test! Je suis nerveux mais aussi fatigue. On est difficile d’être un étudiant… But enough french, my head hurts. This outfit is from last Friday and I wore it to work and to the library, hence the study reference (I have a little less than a month and have basically just started studying so if what I wrote above has some mistakes, at least I tried…), I liked my outfit though I must admit, it was minimum effort.

Transition

IMG_3305Picking up where I left off with Outfit August, here are a few picks from last week. Starting with Thursday‘s food shopping outfit. It has gotten rather cold in Prague so I’m currently wearing lots of variations of this outfit: opaque tights, sweater or leather jacket, cute dress, cute flats.

I’m sorry the photo above is so grainy, it was dark by the time we got to the store and since I hadn’t been documenting my outfits at the beginning of the week, I wanted to have at least something to show you. My outfit consisted of several old pieces (both my dress and the sweater are really old; the dress is from H&M and I bought it in 2011 – I haven’t worn it in ages but because of Outfit August, I decided to revisit it.) I’m wearing a (new) flower headband but you can’t really see it (which was my lazy equivalent of making an effort). The shoes are also new, I bought them in the middle of summer this year in the Topshop sale, they were super cheap. Right away I knew I wanted to wear them with black opaque tights to really highlight those awesome cut-outs (as much as I dislike cut-outs on dresses, I LOVE them on shoes!)
