I don’t usually rave about TV shows but when I fall in love, I fall hard and I have been seriously crushing on the show iZombie. The protagonist, Dr. Liv Moore, is a zombie working at the morgue with her friend/boss Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti and solving murders alongside detective Clive Babineaux.

In order to survive (and not to turn into a crazy mindless zombie) Liv has to eat brains every once in a while, and by doing so she also gets part of the people’s memories, abilities and character traits.

It is so entertaining to watch her change in every episode and you never know what to expect. Also, all the supporting characters are great. Her boss and close friend Ravi is my favorite, they have such a cute friendship together and it’s nice to see a male female friendship, where there are no sexual undertones and they’re really just great friends. Ravi knows about Liv being a zombie (right from episode one) and is trying to help her by trying to find a zombie cure. I also really like her professional relationship with Clive, who actually thinks that Liv is a psychic. They have a great dynamic.

I Want to Fly Away

IMG_7852I wore this outfit two weeks ago to M’s nephew’s birthday party. I curled my hair for the event, because I didn’t want to have the same old hairstyle I always wear (actually, I have three that I rotate: hair down, hair in a pony tail or a side braid). I centered this outfit around the bag. It’s from Skinny Dip and it’s the ice cream clutch. Doesn’t fit much but it’s super cute anyways.

Kingsman Again

With little cinema options to choose from, M and I decided to go see the Kingsman film one more time. (I’m writing – or rather should be writing – my thesis paper of Pride and Prejudice film adaptations, so I’ve watched the 1995 BBC adaptation countless times and seeing a slightly older Mr. Darcy in an action flick is everything).

Last time I wore a Kingsman themed outfit, this time I went as a cat burgler. Because if you can’t be a spy, be a theif. No actually, we decided to go to the cinema very last minute and I had no time at all to put together an outfit and all-black seemed like an easy option.

Loving Lately: Stripes!

As Spring draws near (I may be in denial but please don’t tell me Spring isn’t on its way, I’m so over winter already!) I have been loving everything stripped lately. And a bit of gingham, and some pastel colors too. But back to the stripes, shall we? The dress that started my stripped obsession was this little Pop Boutique number:

I love that it has a little turtle neck as I feel that really offsets the shortness of the dress. The stripes are rather thin and are close together and the high neck has the stripes in a different direction. You may remember when I wore the dress here. (I cannot wait to wear it again but this time without a winter coat!) My stripe quest didn’t end with this dress though, as I managed to buy two more.

Long hair blues

Hair Care can be real pain. Especially if you have LONG hair. I have long relatively thick hair which is VERY dry hair. If I don’t use conditioner then I can’t even comb through it. Besides normal conditioner I also use leave-in conditioner to try to get my hair to be slightly more manageable. I thought I’d share some of my current favorite products of my weekly hair care. (Yeah, it may seem a bit gross but my hair only requires washing once a week. )

IMG_5859(I may have one too many hair products! And even if I don’t use something I find it very difficult to throw it away like some of those super old hair sprays you can see in this picture. Ops.)

My hair routine is really simple: once a week I wash my hair with shampoo (I wash it twice, -shampoo-rinse-repeat-, once to make it clean and once to keep it that way. Ha, I don’t know if that really helps but that’s how I usually do it, unless I’m in a rush and then I just wash once), then I use conditioner and rinse it out. Then I towel dry my hair and apply leave-in conditioner. I usually then comb my hair and then I either leave it alone to air-dry or I fan it dry. If I don’t comb my hair when it’s wet (I know, it’s not really good for the hair but it’s necessary) , then I basically won’t be able to comb it ever! Anyways, here are some of my favorite products:
