A few days ago M and I went to see the film “Chappie” and this is what I wore. It was a simple outfit as we had decided to go to the cinema last minute. My bestie stopped by at my flat earlier in the day and I gave her some clothes I was selling on Vinted (a bright pink winter coat and a few dresses) and some other dresses that I had in storage and hadn’t worn in ages. Anyways, amongst the dresses I gave away there were about three leopard print dresses and that definitely inspired me to wear this Asos leopard print dress that I had bought not long ago (about a month or two ago). These photos were taken about two weeks ago? What a difference in weather! It is currently raining sleet and everything is horrible and freezing and wet. Ugh. These past few days my pig walking has been limited to bare minimums – we go out, he gets his business accomplished and we race back home.
Wearing: old knitted hat – H&M, bright trench – F&F, ugg-like boots – Truffle via Asos.
* They’re still a tad too small but for the occasional pig walk, they’ll do.
One of my favorite parts of the weekend is always when M and I and Mr. Pig go on a super long walk. I love that it’s the three of us together, we don’t get much down time during the week. So these long walks are really special to me. I’m also glad that I remembered to take my phone as I usually just leave it home and there wouldn’t have been photos otherwise. I’ve been wearing these shoes to work (I wore them two times last week) but hadn’t managed to get any outfit photos so I risked taking them on the pig walk and happily Dracul didn’t get them all dirty. You might remember them from the leopard print shoes post?
Another rare up-to-date photo! This outfit was from last night when M and I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy. The film was okay and I thought Rocket was just adorable, obviously, now I want a raccoon. But back to the outfit…
I’m not having the best of days today – I over slept and things just went downhill from there. I was at least hoping that my order from Asos would arrive (it was supposed to arrive by last Friday but hasn’t and I suspect that my post lady has just chucked it somewhere and it has made me feel super hostile towards the post office, especially since I called there on Friday and was basically told that without a tracking number I can go fuck myself. Great.)
To be completely honest Mr. Pig is mostly a bit of an ass. He’s selfish and annoying. But he’s also my responsibility, so as much as I sometimes want to scream my head off at him, he also has a special place in my heart. He’s my pet and he has my heart. Continue reading Piggy Love→
My thesis writing days aren’t yet over. Only about a third (not even) of what I had written will be used. That’s the bad news. But the good news is, well, I think it’ll be a better paper because it. I took a break yesterday and just slept. It felt like I hadn’t slept for days. I was groggy and unhappy and I needed a break. Then M and I went to see the new X-men movie in the cinema and it was a great night. The film is so fun, I highly recommend seeing it. Today I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things but it won’t be until tomorrow that I really embrace the new direction of the thesis paper. I have all these timelines and deadlines set up, it actually feels like I’m organized for the first time in my life. Anyways, speaking of things planned, I’ll show you yesterday’s cinema outfit in tomorrow’s post, today I have just a few shoe for ya instead:
The results of Friday’s exams have been posted this morning (and yes, I had been checking all weekend) and truth be told, I was terrified of what the results would be. I had the worst feeling about the exam because I had a really crap day Friday. But luckily I passed and I am very very grateful. One down, three to go.
I added the photo below to one of my older posts because of the shoes I was wearing and that got me thinking if I have any other photos with Piglet (I love the photo above where we’re being particularly affectionate). It probably won’t surprise you that, yes, indeed I managed to find a different set of photos featuring me and one of my favorite fictional characters (it also won’t surprise you that I totally wanted to take Piglet home with me but M stopped me – life is so unfair.) *These are from June 2011 when we went to see X-men First Class.
