Christmas Countdown

Hey everyone! How is your December so far? Mine seems to be going super fast but otherwise things are good. I cannot wait for Christmas but there is still so much to do (I still need to buy three gifts and then wrap them up, we need to clean the flat for visitors and I want to get rid of some old stuff I know I will never wear/use). And I still need to finish writing my thesis paper! Yikes!

One of my favorite activities no matter what month it is will always be going to the movies. Luckily, M is also a huge film enthusiast so we happily share this hobby. Last week we went to see Krampus (which was a fairy tale/horror movie) and the week before we went to see Bridge of SpiesĀ  (starring Tom Hanks). Combined with going to the movies I love eating out at Rancheros, a fast food Mexican restaurant that’s located near our favorite cinema. They have veggie options of all their meals so that makes me very happy indeed. My favorite food there (and pictured above and below) is the vegetarian Mexican burger with nachos (plus the grapefruit Jarritos drink – love it).

OA: Pink Flowers

IMG_8515This outfit is from the beginning of August, when it was still lovely sunny weather in Prague and extremely hot out. M and I and some friends went to the river side to hang out. It’s actually not the easiest thing to pick an outfit when it is so hot outside but I quite liked this one. I went with these cute jelly sandals. You all know I LOVE jelly shoes and these are one of the few pairs that I have that are NOT from the brand Melissa. These are Ted Baker and they are the Aster bow sandals.

Gingham Midi

IMG_7817Usually I’m all about the short skirts and mini-dresses (especially in combination with black opaque tights) but come the warm weather, I also gravitate towards comfortable carefree midi lengths. This skirt in particular is a favorite of mine, it’s from Topshop and I absolutely adore it (the gingham print, the style and cut, the material, it’s all good.)

Scenic Mountain

IMG_7569Hello everyone, sorry about being so spacy this week. To top it off, I wore some really great outfits to work this week and didn’t get a single photo, arrgh. But here’s an outfit from this past weekend, from Sunday when M and I went to his parents’ house for lunch. I wore my scenic mountain print dress, a sweater coat I bought in Vienna, my new Rome bag and these old Zara Woman leather ballerina flats with an interesting brooch detail on the front.

Fishkus Fest

Last weekend M and I and some friends went to a seafood festival (as most of you know, I don’t eat meat but I do eat some seafood.) The weather was perfect, sunny and warm. And so I had some fun with my outfit:

IMG_7411My theme was center around a play on black and white, the monochrome look is still a favorite for me but I mixed things up a bit by wearing one black and one white Melissa Barbie Stiletto print ultragirl flat shoe. When I bought them in 2011 I first bought the white pair and then right away I knew I needed the black pair too in order to do this mixed and matched look.

Fast Food Chic

IMG_7404Hey everyone, today I have a really fun outfit for you. I wore it last week when we went out to dinner. The whole theme was centered around this clutch bag. I’ve had it for a while but had yet to wear it. It’s the New Look burger clutch (in my mind, mine is a bean burger fyi). The clutch is really interesting with a lot of fun details and different fabrics, I’d say it is pretty good quality but it doesn’t hold that much. Usually I can fit my phone (without its phone case though), a few cards/IDs, some money (no wallet though, my wallet is huuuuge) and tissue papers (one of the most important items in my bag!) and then my keys and that’s about it. So like I said, not much.

Dinner Date Lantern Dress

IMG_7313After returning from Rome, M was in a bit of a mood as he hates returning home from holiday (I’m the complete opposite, I love going back home because I miss my bed, I miss my closet, I miss my pets, friends and family) and he didn’t want to stay at home so we went out to have dinner inevitably watch the hokey (Prague and Ostrava are hosting this year’s hokey world championship). I wore an easy outfit. I started out with picking this dress to wear. It’s from Asos and is a structured scuba dress, it is the most comfiest thing ever! I’ve worn it I think twice before but never got pictures and then I was saving it to wear to someplace special. And then I thought, forget saving it! Wear it now and enjoy it!

OMG Lady Dragon

IMG_7149I mentioned buying this dress and the clutch yesterday, and here’s me wearing them! The outfit is from Sunday, M and I went to a family dinner (celebrating his dad’s birthday). I knew I wanted to wear the dress, no actually it started with me wanting to wear the clutch bag. And having picked it out to wear, I knew I needed a semi-neutral dress, something to complement the bag and so a LBD was an obvious choice, especially considering I had a new LBD in my possession! The hardest part was to choose the shoes as it was a rainy day and we weren’t going by car but I still wanted to wear heels.

Files of New: Ready for Spring

melissa green flatsToday I’m sharing another files of new post, since I’ve been naughty and bought a few things. My bank account is weeping but that’s a story in itself. But back to the new crap, let’s start with shoes, as shoes are always my favorite. The newest member of my shoe family are these Mel by Melissa flats that I sneaked into M’s order. I had been missing a pair of green Melissas and these seemed like the perfect pair for me.
