Files of New: Ready for Spring

melissa green flatsToday I’m sharing another files of new post, since I’ve been naughty and bought a few things. My bank account is weeping but that’s a story in itself. But back to the new crap, let’s start with shoes, as shoes are always my favorite. The newest member of my shoe family are these Mel by Melissa flats that I sneaked into M’s order. I had been missing a pair of green Melissas and these seemed like the perfect pair for me.

I’ve been carrying around a lot of books and everything uni related so having a backpack helps. However, this results in when I go out later in the day I want to wear the smallest clutch bag possible as I’ve had enough of carrying around loads of stuff, because I hate carrying around so much. But since I need to during the day, I’m really happy I have a cute backpack to carry it all in.

The older I get the more conscious I am of these things and supporting green companies is a new passion, as is purchasing only cruelty free make-up.

then there is this Sisley mesh dress that I had been debating for a while whether to buy or not to buy. In the end I caved as it was slowly being sold out in my size. I’m so happy I did because it’s a great dress and though I have a few black dresses in my wardrobe already, I haven’t been buying LBDs so this was a good time to add a new addition to my collection.

I love the polka dot print and the shape is great (it’s much larger than I thought it would be), it sort of reminds me of a book clutch but not quite (I am so lusting after a proper book clutch!) and the OMG speech bubble is fun.

  1. Those shoes are BEAUTIFUL! Are the insoles just the green bit or is the animal print bit the sole too? If I was wearing them that tiny strip would annoy the hell out of my feet if that’s all the cushioning there is.

    1. The animal print bit is also the sole:) You really need to try a pair (but I would recommend for the first pair of Melissas to try them instore to get the sizing right)

  2. Gorgeous shoes, adore that huge bow. I loved that ASOS clutch when it was out and never got it, good find. It blows my mind that the lining of the wallet is made from recycled bottles and I get angry when people don’t see the amazing potential in recycling, superb.
