One of my favorite bloggers, Leah, is once again hosting Outfit August, which is a fun idea about reusing older items from your closet and not being obsessed about all things new all the time, as is the case with most fashion blogs. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love new things. But I also love combining new things with old items, or just going with all old items sometimes. Anyways, it’s already mid August and I have had a slow start but alas, Outfit August is finally here! I wanted the first outfit of Outfit August that I would post on my blog to be a bit special, and I think this was the perfect outfit.

London Continued: the last two days
Wednesday was both a very lovely day and a slightly annoying one due to the tube strike, which luckily only really affected our evening transport. We started the day at Westminster and went for a super long walk. M wanted to stop by the Whisky exchange store again and I got to wait and read, which was quite nice actually.
London continued: Oxford & Hyde
Monday was a beautiful sunny day so we decided to take a small trip, we took the Dlr train to Lewisham and then walked to Grreenwich park and visited the Maritime museum.

London continued: Sunday Funday
Sunday started out exceptionally well with a Lola’s cupcake. I love cupcakes and blue icing is my absolute favorite. Though you can get cupcakes in Prague, I have yet to find the perfect blue icing cupcake here, but I had the great fortune to have two whilst in London (I only took a photo of one though, which had “happy birthday” written in chocolate and with my birthday being the following Friday it was perfect really.) And I also really loved the packaging, so cute!
After my delicious cupcake, M and I took the tube to Camden town. Our first stop was Aldo, located near the tube station, where I bought my new two-in-one tote bag (which I mentioned in my what-I-bought-in-London post). Then we headed to the market and stopped by Miss Poppy Cakes for a coffee break, as it was still early for all the shops to be open. I really loved this place, it had such a fun and quirky decor inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the flamingo wallpaper was just adorable.
London continued: days 2-3
First of all, apologies for the delay in posting, I have been plagued with a bad cold and the last couple of days have been hellish. Finally, today I have been feeling a little better so what better way to celebrate than to get back into blogging. I promised you some more photos from our London holiday and here are days 2 and 3.
Day 2 was Friday the third of July, M and I went to Westminster, walked around for a bit (just long enough for me to get a few blisters) and then we took a boat ride to Hampton Court Palace. It was our engagement anniversary, exactly one year ago M had asked me to marry him in the Hampton Court Gardens (and if you’re curious, no, we still haven’t set a date yet. We obviously suck at wedding planning, but I quite like that actually. Neither one of us is in any hurry, so we’re just happy where we are right now.)
London holiday: Bohemia Lounge
The time has finally come to share my London holiday. We arrived on Thursday, took the train from the airport and then went to our hotel. We had dinner at an Italian restaurant and then we went to one of our favorite London hang-outs: the Bohemia Lounge bar. This place is bloody amazing with the best cocktails ever!
Files of New: London shopping
Sorry! So sorry! I am seriously behind on my blogging schedule but there has been so much to do! I was hoping to have all the photos from my recent London holiday but I haven’t got them all yet, and the ones I do have haven’t been organized yet. I am incredibly behind schedule, but going on vacation usually does that to me (which is one of the reasons I don’t really like going on holiday, but I’m weird.) I have a few posts planned out but they should be up and posted soon, the first one on Monday. In the mean time I thought I’d share what I bought in London:
I’ll start with my favorite purchase: these Doc Martens tattoo print tan lace-up short boots. I had wanted to buy them when we were in Rome on our holiday but they only had them in a size UK7 and they were too big, so when we were in London I found them in a shop in a size UK6 and the fit was perfection. I have a pair of Doc Marten boots (high ones, with 21 holes, also in a size UK6) but oh boy, those are still not comfortable/worn in yet. These seem to be wearable from the get-go but that probably is due to the height or lack of (the place where the other boots are uncomfortable are where they bend on the ankle, but as these new ones don’t go that high, they are fine.)
Bohemia Lounge
As promised, here are some photos from our visit to the Bohemia Lounge. This bar serves some amazing drinks and is decorated in a sort of old Czech style. It was a bit dark in the bar so my photos turned out rather crap but that’s my only complaint, it was an amazing evening!

LONDON recap
So I finally have all of our London photos and I must warn you, there are quite a few! That’s why I decided to divide this post into three. This particular post will contain photos from days one and two. Above is a photo taken at the Prague airport – as you can see I was excited about our trip and dressed in my typical airport attire: skinny jeans, trainers, leather jacket. Huge handbag to fit all of my crap (my kindle fire, a magazine, lip balm, tissues, my passport, boarding pass, wallet, phone, mp3 player, a pashmina in case it gets cold).
London Shopping Pt. 1
Yesterday we just got back from London and our trip was amazing. I’ll do a recount of it in another post (I don’t have all the photos yet) but since I couldn’t wait to share at least something with you, here all the stuff that I bought! London is a major shopping event for us. In the photo above are all of the dresses I purchased. Yup, I bought 9 dresses. I also bought some other wonderful things but in this post it’s all about the dresses: Continue reading London Shopping Pt. 1
