Sorry for being such a bad blogger but it seems that there never is enough time (yet strangely there IS time for reading large amounts of fan fiction regarding a particular pair that I ship, but each to their own). I have a stupid exam next week, one which I am in no way prepared for (typical) and so I should be spending all of my time studying. However, given that I have ignored this blog for way too long, I back with an Outfit August post.

London continued: days 2-3
First of all, apologies for the delay in posting, I have been plagued with a bad cold and the last couple of days have been hellish. Finally, today I have been feeling a little better so what better way to celebrate than to get backĀ into blogging. I promised you some more photos from our London holiday and here are days 2 and 3.
Day 2 was Friday the third of July, M and I went to Westminster, walked around for a bit (just long enough for me to get a few blisters) and then we took a boat ride to Hampton Court Palace. It was our engagement anniversary, exactly one year ago M had asked me to marry him in the Hampton Court Gardens (and if you’re curious, no, we still haven’t set a date yet. We obviously suck at wedding planning, but I quite like that actually. Neither one of us is in any hurry, so we’re just happy where we are right now.)
The last of June
Another belated pre-London-holiday outfit post and it was an outfit that I quite liked. M and I went to do a spot of shopping before our vacation and we also went out to lunch to a burger joint (I had a vegetarian cheese burger but to be honest, I prefer veggie burgers if there are vegetable instead of cheese replacing the meat). I wore one of my favorite Melissa flats and the monochrome look with a pop of color really works for me.
Gingham Midi
Usually I’m all about the short skirts and mini-dresses (especially in combination with black opaque tights) but come the warm weather, I also gravitate towards comfortable carefree midi lengths. This skirt in particular is a favorite of mine, it’s from Topshop and I absolutely adore it (the gingham print, the style and cut, the material, it’s all good.)
Scenic Mountain
Hello everyone, sorry about being so spacy this week. To top it off, I wore some really great outfits to work this week and didn’t get a single photo, arrgh. But here’s an outfit from this past weekend, from Sunday when M and I went to his parents’ house for lunch. I wore my scenic mountain print dress, a sweater coat I bought in Vienna, my new Rome bag and these old Zara Woman leather ballerina flats with an interesting brooch detail on the front.

Fishkus Fest
Last weekend M and I and some friends went to a seafood festival (as most of you know, I don’t eat meat but I do eat some seafood.) The weather was perfect, sunny and warm. And so I had some fun with my outfit:
My theme was center around a play on black and white, the monochrome look is still a favorite for me but I mixed things up a bit by wearing one black and one white Melissa Barbie Stiletto print ultragirl flat shoe. When I bought them in 2011 I first bought the white pair and then right away I knew I needed the black pair too in order to do this mixed and matched look.
Fast Food Chic
Hey everyone, today I have a really fun outfit for you. I wore it last week when we went out to dinner. The whole theme was centered around this clutch bag. I’ve had it for a while but had yet to wear it. It’s the New Look burger clutch (in my mind, mine is a bean burger fyi). The clutch is really interesting with a lot of fun details and different fabrics, I’d say it is pretty good quality but it doesn’t hold that much. Usually I can fit my phone (without its phone case though), a few cards/IDs, some money (no wallet though, my wallet is huuuuge) and tissue papers (one of the most important items in my bag!) and then my keys and that’s about it. So like I said, not much.
Hearts and Polka dots
This outfit was from Sunday when M and I went to have lunch at M’s parents’ flat. We walked there instead of taking the car (M wanted to have beer and I didn’t feel like driving, because I never feel like driving) and it was actually quite cold (it had snowed in the morning). I started with picking out which bag I wanted to take. I don’t have that many good bags, a lot of my bags are showing considerable wear and tear, and most of my bags are functional rather than fashionable. However, this H&M spotted white and black satchel bag is one of my cuter bags. It fits a good amount of stuff and I think it’s really adorable too!
An unexpected movie date
This outfit is from Sunday evening when my bestie convinced us to go out and see a movie. They weren’t playing anything I wanted to see and because anything is better than going to go see a modern Czech movie (old Czech movies are awesome, new Czech movies are THE WORST), we ended up going to see American Sniper. I knew M wanted to see it but I wasn’t really interested and had quite a bit of prejudice against the film to begin with but in the end I was happy to have seen it. It’s definitely one-sided and obviously pro-war, but the film doesn’t pretend to be something different. I would be interested in having a look at the book (American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History) just to see how much of the movie is according to the book and what was changed. Now on to the outfit.
Starting with the shoes. These are the Melissa Ultragirl flats that I got as a gift from M’s parents (last time I wore them here). I thought it would be interesting to mix pink with lime, I had picked the dress out first.
