The last of June

melissa shoes, iron fist bag, topshop gingham skirt, red t-shirt, express jacketAnother belated pre-London-holiday outfit post and it was an outfit that I quite liked. M and I went to do a spot of shopping before our vacation and we also went out to lunch to a burger joint (I had a vegetarian cheese burger but to be honest, I prefer veggie burgers if there are vegetable instead of cheese replacing the meat). I wore one of my favorite Melissa flats and the monochrome look with a pop of color really works for me.

melissa heart flatsThe skirt I wore is from Topshop and I bought it a year ago during our London vacation. I have a matching top to go with this skirt but I haven’t worn it yet (unfortunately the top is too big, the skirt is in a size UK12 but the top is in a UK14 – they didn’t have it in a size 12 – so I need to alter it), I usually just wear the skirt with a t-shirt instead. The shirt I’m wearing is quite old and it’s from Reserved, just a simple tee, nothing special, but I really like how it looks with the otherwise all black and white outfit. It’s the little details that sometimes really make an outfit.

This next look is rather casual: blue jeans (Bershka), studded leather-look converse style trainers (Stradivarius), leopard print cropped trench coat (H&M), V-neck sweater (Zara) and a studded bag (Stradivarius). I love pairing matching items – the studded shoes and the studded bag, though from different collections from Stradivarius they really match well. The most dominant aspect of this outfit is obviously the leopard print coat but for me the bag and the shoes are what make this outfit tied together and more coherent, it wasn’t one of my favorite outfits of June but I quite liked it nonetheless.

IMG_7951Now we’re almost up to date! Only my London holiday is still in (dire) need to be posted, which should be up on Thursday (I’m taking tomorrow off as you got two outfits in today’s post). So see you then!
