This outfit is actually from a while ago (photos taken at the end of June, when it was a rainy colder day, way before our London adventures) but it has taken me sooo long to blog about it, which is rather surprising as I loved this look.
As the title suggests it’s a mix of school girl and rock chick, a bit Wednesday Adams (thanks to that lovely collar on my dress) and a bit 90’s (mostly because of the shoes – chunky heel, buckles – but also due to the mixing of girlie dress and tough accessories).
The Outfit: my favorite fake leather jacket (Zara TRF), Stradivarius studded bag (super old, some studs are missing, I may need to find a replacement bag soon), silver-pearl head band (Topshop?), Lavish Alice dress (you can see the product photo below and I’m glad to say that the dress looks a lot better on than by itself. Although I must warn you, sizing does run a little small. It’s currently on sale over at Asos.com)
I do love the dress. However, what really makes this look are the shoes. I LOVE these shoes. They are one of my current favorites. You may remember them from when I blogged about them the last time I wore them (when I paired them with a pair of ultra skinny jeans)?
It may be a bit too warm for them now, but come AutumnΒ they’ll be in constant rotation, I’m sure. I’m already dreaming up the outfits…Anyways, the shoes are from Zara Woman and are a beautiful pair of leather track ankle boots. They are super heavy and I am mad about that chunky heel. I had a great time wearing them (I always do!) and typically, my photos were taken when we RETURNED home (that’s my usual MO and I can’t seem to shake it; I also can’t seem to remember where we went but guessing by the last photos it was to a pub). I have loads more outfit posts that I haven’tΒ blogged yet so there will definitely be posts all week.
Oh and I have some fun news: we’re going to New York City for a week!!!!! More info soon, I promise. See you tomorrow, adieu.
Oh my gosh, how exciting, I’ve always wanted to go. LOVE this outfit, gorgeous dress.
I’m very excited π I’ve been before but when I was a child so that’s different… I can’t wait to do some shopping π β€ but I can't go too crazy as well, restricted luggage space and cash. Thanks, it's one of my favorites of the past two months!
your outfit is very becoming and i love your silly side in those last pics!
