It was a bit dark by the time we took these photos so the quality isn’t very good, sorry. This outfit is from last Wednesday when M’s brother celebrated his birthday so the whole family went to dinner at our favorite restaurant. I really liked the outfit though I would have taken different shoes if I hadn’t been running late and then literally running to catch the bus. Oh well, next time I need to plan my time better so I have more time for the commute (1 tram stop and then 2 bus stops isn’t much of a commute but whatever.)

Jeffrey’s Back
I can’t believe it has taken me so long to wear these shoes again – you may remember this post with outfit photos from February 2014, and that was the last time I had worn these awesomely high ankle boots. Until now, when I wore them on Easter Monday to a family lunch at my grandparents’ house.
Hearts and Polka dots
This outfit was from Sunday when M and I went to have lunch at M’s parents’ flat. We walked there instead of taking the car (M wanted to have beer and I didn’t feel like driving, because I never feel like driving) and it was actually quite cold (it had snowed in the morning). I started with picking out which bag I wanted to take. I don’t have that many good bags, a lot of my bags are showing considerable wear and tear, and most of my bags are functional rather than fashionable. However, this H&M spotted white and black satchel bag is one of my cuter bags. It fits a good amount of stuff and I think it’s really adorable too!
An unexpected movie date
This outfit is from Sunday evening when my bestie convinced us to go out and see a movie. They weren’t playing anything I wanted to see and because anything is better than going to go see a modern Czech movie (old Czech movies are awesome, new Czech movies are THE WORST), we ended up going to see American Sniper. I knew M wanted to see it but I wasn’t really interested and had quite a bit of prejudice against the film to begin with but in the end I was happy to have seen it. It’s definitely one-sided and obviously pro-war, but the film doesn’t pretend to be something different. I would be interested in having a look at the book (American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History) just to see how much of the movie is according to the book and what was changed. Now on to the outfit.
Starting with the shoes. These are the Melissa Ultragirl flats that I got as a gift from M’s parents (last time I wore them here). I thought it would be interesting to mix pink with lime, I had picked the dress out first.
Like a Lady
This outfit is from Sunday lunch and it has to be one of my favorite outfits of this year. Basically the warmer it gets the more fun I have with my outfits and this Sunday, I went all out. Starting with heels (anytime I wear heels it means I’ve made an effort), these are the Melissa por Herchcovitch Alexandre wedges with brogue detailing in black. I can’t say these are my favorite wedges as they aren’t too comfy, but they’re okay. We went food shopping after lunch and I survived a whole afternoon in them, so they passed the test. That said, they’re definitely not my favorite Melissas.
Kingsman

Last week M and I went to see the Kingsman film and I thought it was brilliant. I LOVED it! Colin Firth was amazing (seeing Mr. Darcy kicking ass was just perfect, really.) Anyways, for the occasion I decided to dress smart, as a kingsman would.
Transition
Picking up where I left off with Outfit August, here are a few picks from last week. Starting with Thursday‘s food shopping outfit. It has gotten rather cold in Prague so I’m currently wearing lots of variations of this outfit: opaque tights, sweater or leather jacket, cute dress, cute flats.
I’m sorry the photo above is so grainy, it was dark by the time we got to the store and since I hadn’t been documenting my outfits at the beginning of the week, I wanted to have at least something to show you. My outfit consisted of several old pieces (both my dress and the sweater are really old; the dress is from H&M and I bought it in 2011 – I haven’t worn it in ages but because of Outfit August, I decided to revisit it.) I’m wearing a (new) flower headband but you can’t really see it (which was my lazy equivalent of making an effort). The shoes are also new, I bought them in the middle of summer this year in the Topshop sale, they were super cheap. Right away I knew I wanted to wear them with black opaque tights to really highlight those awesome cut-outs (as much as I dislike cut-outs on dresses, I LOVE them on shoes!)
Monday Wishlist
Most bloggers do a weekend wishlist but I find it best to fantasize about future buys on Mondays. Mainly because I dislike Mondays so anything that can make them more tolerable, I’m up for it. Anyways, on to the good stuff. Continue reading Monday Wishlist
The Bill Bailey Show
Last Monday M and I went to see Bill Bailey and it was an absolutely great show. We’ve been fans of Black Books for years and have also seen lots of his available material online, so it was such a joy to actually see him live. Not to mention that in the midst of study hell, it was a very welcome break! I had another test to study for (that was written this Wednesday, I don’t know how it turned out yet but I think I did okay). Now I’m working on my thesis and that’s a whole other story. Guys, I have until Sunday and I’m pretty screwed but I’m trying my best (that’s also why I skipped yesterday’s post.) Then I have a bunch of other exams but back to Monday and the cute little outfit I wore…
How Bout Them Apples?
Yesterday was another State holiday (I really love the month of May) and M and I decided to go on a little walk to discover the area where we live. We’ve lived here nearly three quarters of a year and haven’t been exploring much. We have gone on walks but usually with Dracul and he doesn’t really like to go that far. He’s a lazy pig. Well yesterday I had already walked Dracul beforehand so we were able to go on a walk without him. I was pleased with the idea of going out because I really wanted to wear these shoes:
