Another flashback/favorite outfit from February 2014 – and again, it’s all about the shoes. I had been lusting after a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita ankle boots for ever and I finally managed to buy a pair in neon pink…
Speaking of the shoes, oh my goodness, these shoes are everything. I adore them! I love the color and like I said, I have wanted a pair of Litas for ages! They are very wearable and walkable but well, in all honesty, I think I could have used a size up – these are US 7.5 and I usually wear a UK 6/ EUR 39-40. I bought the shoes from a online seller and she had written that they are a size EUR 39 and since I wear a 39/40 (depending on the shoe style) I thought I’d give it a try. I tried the shoes on and they do fit so I was like okay but when I wear them for a longer time they are definitely uncomfortable and I looked up sizes and a US 7.5 is not a EUR 39. So I dunno, I still love them but I wish they were just a tad bigger but they aren’t so small that I can’t wear them, just not for super long periods of time.
I went all out with the pink here I know. But these shoes were just begging to be worn with this coat, they were made for each other. Sorry you can’t see the dress but it’s the same pink as the pashmina scarf. Well, it will probably come as no surprise to you but I absofuckinglutely loved my outfit. I was very pleased with the hard meets soft effect as the shoes are fierce and the bag is studded and then all that pink. This was a very “me” outfit indeed.
Looking back at the photos makes me excited about the colder weather and wearing these shoes again (though obviously, I’m still a bit anxious about the fit, as I’ve worn them only once previously, so it’ll be best to wear them when we’re going by car). I’m also hoping to purchase another pair of Litas in the future because they are indeed really wonderful shoes.
