Like a Lady

IMG_6530This outfit is from Sunday lunch and it has to be one of my favorite outfits of this year. Basically the warmer it gets the more fun I have with my outfits and this Sunday, I went all out. Starting with heels (anytime I wear heels it means I’ve made an effort), these are the Melissa por Herchcovitch Alexandre wedges with brogue detailing in black. I can’t say these are my favorite wedges as they aren’t too comfy, but they’re okay. We went food shopping after lunch and I survived a whole afternoon in them, so they passed the test. That said, they’re definitely not my favorite Melissas.

Melissa por Herchcovitch Alexandre wedgesI think the best part of my outfit was my fake fur cape/poncho (I call it “the mushroom”), which you’ve seen on this blog before (the first outfit is from May 2014 and the one below it is from April 2013).

melissa three strap heelssisley fake fur capeAs much as I like these old outfits (and I do, I love them), I’m glad to say that I love the new outfit just as much! The skirt I’m wearing is from Asos (it’s the Asos quilted midi skirt in floral print in pink) and I exchanged it on Vinted for a dress I hadn’t worn in years (win-win). I wore my elbow length leather gloves and an old studded H&M bag. The belt I’m wearing is from Topshop and is also very old.

IMG_6519I kept my make-up minimal: just a flick of liquid eyeliner (Barry M “Blink” black waterproof precision eyeliner), one coat of mascara (just at the corner where I have the cat eye flick, Rimmel Scandal eyes retro glam mascara in 001 black), a light application of lip liner (Essence lipliner in 12 “Wish Me a Rose”) smudged out and covered with clear lip balm (Lush “Honey Trap”) and my everyday foundation (Rimmel Match Perfection in 100 ivory).

IMG_6524I hope you liked this outfit as much as I did 🙂 I think I always like it when I go slightly out of my comfort zone and wear something different. The fake fur poncho thing is a bit “out there” and I don’t regularly wear midi skirts (though I have been loving them more and more). I definitely got some strange looks on the way to lunch but I really felt great in it.
