I’ve been Lushing most days in order to keep myself sane. I’ve mostly been going through my Christmas sale items (I personally think their holiday items are the best anyways and in the post Christmas sales they tend to be half off, which is just amazing, so yeah) but I’ve also tried out a few that are constantly in the Lush stock. So let’s review, shall we?
Let’s start with Father Christmas – this bath bomb is fruity and fresh but what I loved most of all about it was that it turned my bath into the brightest loveliest green color. I may be biased as green is my favorite color, but I seriously loved this bath! It has a fresh citrus scent that was very pleasing but for me it really was about the color. If they have him next Christmas I will be stocking up.
This next bath bomb is Northern Lights and it was a Halloween bath bomb. I was really excited about trying out this one but unfortunately mine was a bit broken (as I had gotten it by post) so I decided to first use the third which had broken off in one bath (on a day when our flat was without hot water so I ended up heating water on the stove and filling up a bath old fashioned style, which btw is really annoying and takes ages, so I ended up only filling a third of the bath, hence the third of the bath bomb) and then use the rest in another. The photos above are from when I used the two thirds but I wouldn’t recommend cutting up this one as the effects are really better when you use a whole bath bomb. I still have two in my collection so I’ll be using them one per bath. But back to the bath: it has a jasmine and ylang ylang scent but really it’s all about the color display, which granted, is pretty interesting. I also used my Magic Wand bubble bar as you can see above and I thought they complemented each other nicely. I did enjoy this bath but to be completely honest I was expecting a bit more. We’ll see how the next bath will be when I use a whole one.
This one is the Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb. The scent is the same as the Twilight bath bomb (lavender oil, sweet benzoin and comforting tonka absolute) and the colored polka dots are a nice touch. It’s a bed time bomb and the scent is supposed to sooth and make you relax. It was a very nice bath.
Next up is the Butterbear bath bomb. It’s basically the same as the Butterball bath bomb but for the holidays it’s shaped like a bear (so cute!). As you can see from the photos it doesn’t change the color of the bath but what it does do is moisturize your skin. It is softly vanilla scented and is a very fast fizzer (it’s basically gone in a minute). It has little chunks of cocoa butter (which hydrate your skin so well). The only down side is that the bear is actually really tiny (60g). I have heard that the regular Butterball is a bit better (I haven’t tried it out yet but I’ll keep you posted, it is at least bigger at 95g) but overall I definitely enjoyed this bath and I really loved that it was in the shape of a bear (I’m easy to please.)
This is the Snow Angel luxury bath melt/bath bomb. It’s made with Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and loads of gold glitter. I did like this bath but I prefer other colors (green baths, I love you), however I really liked that there was a good deal of glitter in this one and it even left some glitter on my skin after the bath (which doesn’t usually happen).
Speaking of glitter, this is the most glittery bath bomb ever! It’s called Sparkler for a reason! I LOVED this bath bomb. Anyways, Sparkler was another Halloween bath bomb. It is scented similarly as Rose Jam but there’s also a bit of lemon in the mix. In the middle there is some popping, crackling candy which helps fulfill the entire fireworks experience. I highly recommend this one and I really hope it will be back next Halloween.
This is the Lord of Misrule bath bomb, also a Halloween item. It has a very spicy scent of patchouli and black pepper oil.
Next up is one of my all-time favorite Lush products and it’s from their permanent line: the Big shampoo. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product (it has big chunks of sea salt but also has seaweed infusion, extra virgin coconut oil and avocado butter). In another life I was probably a mermaid or something, I wish I lived right by the sea and as Prague has no sea (insert sad face) this shampoo is the next best thing beside taking a holiday. Sitting on top of it is the Big solid conditioner, which I have tried only once so far, and to be honest I didn’t love it as much. (Those red spots were transferred from the paper it was in, just in case you were wondering.)
Another permanent and favorite item (yay!) is this Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar. The scent is super spicy (peppermint and cinnamon spice oils) and the red pieces on the top are aduki beans. I love the scent and I find it so relaxing.
Last but not least, yet again another permanent and also favorite item is The Comforter. I love this bubble bar! (Oh btw I added a Sephora heart shaped bath oil into my bath and thought it looked cute, hence why it’s in the photo above.) For the bath above I used a half of a small comforter bar (the regular sized ones are 200g and you can use them many times). I love the sweet fruity aroma of blackcurrant that this bubble bar has and it really is very comforting. It’s one of my favorite products so I’m super happy it’s not just a seasonal one.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this review and see you soon.
Wow you really do have tonnes of Lush stuff! Eugh I hate filling the bath the old fashioned way, takes forever and it’s still never deep enough. I like my baths really deep and really hot!
Yup:)) I know, I love baths but I sort of understand how in the old days people wouldn’t wash themselves often as it must have been really tiresome just to fill up a bath! So happy I live now, when I can have a bath if I want to and shower every day! Yeah, I do have quite a bit of Lush items 🙂 They make me so happy:)
