Hey everyone, today I have a really fun outfit for you. I wore it last week when we went out to dinner. The whole theme was centered around this clutch bag. I’ve had it for a while but had yet to wear it. It’s the New Look burger clutch (in my mind, mine is a bean burger fyi). The clutch is really interesting with a lot of fun details and different fabrics, I’d say it is pretty good quality but it doesn’t hold that much. Usually I can fit my phone (without its phone case though), a few cards/IDs, some money (no wallet though, my wallet is huuuuge) and tissue papers (one of the most important items in my bag!) and then my keys and that’s about it. So like I said, not much.

Dinner Date Lantern Dress
After returning from Rome, M was in a bit of a mood as he hates returning home from holiday (I’m the complete opposite, I love going back home because I miss my bed, I miss my closet, I miss my pets, friends and family) and he didn’t want to stay at home so we went out to have dinner inevitably watch the hokey (Prague and Ostrava are hosting this year’s hokey world championship). I wore an easy outfit. I started out with picking this dress to wear. It’s from Asos and is a structured scuba dress, it is the most comfiest thing ever! I’ve worn it I think twice before but never got pictures and then I was saving it to wear to someplace special. And then I thought, forget saving it! Wear it now and enjoy it!

Hearts and Polka dots
This outfit was from Sunday when M and I went to have lunch at M’s parents’ flat. We walked there instead of taking the car (M wanted to have beer and I didn’t feel like driving, because I never feel like driving) and it was actually quite cold (it had snowed in the morning). I started with picking out which bag I wanted to take. I don’t have that many good bags, a lot of my bags are showing considerable wear and tear, and most of my bags are functional rather than fashionable. However, this H&M spotted white and black satchel bag is one of my cuter bags. It fits a good amount of stuff and I think it’s really adorable too!
An unexpected movie date
This outfit is from Sunday evening when my bestie convinced us to go out and see a movie. They weren’t playing anything I wanted to see and because anything is better than going to go see a modern Czech movie (old Czech movies are awesome, new Czech movies are THE WORST), we ended up going to see American Sniper. I knew M wanted to see it but I wasn’t really interested and had quite a bit of prejudice against the film to begin with but in the end I was happy to have seen it. It’s definitely one-sided and obviously pro-war, but the film doesn’t pretend to be something different. I would be interested in having a look at the book (American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History) just to see how much of the movie is according to the book and what was changed. Now on to the outfit.
Starting with the shoes. These are the Melissa Ultragirl flats that I got as a gift from M’s parents (last time I wore them here). I thought it would be interesting to mix pink with lime, I had picked the dress out first.

Just a quick outfit post today. Had a super busy weekend and looks like this week will be no different. On Saturday we went running in the morning (just 3km but it’s a start), then we went to my parents’ house for lunch and to celebrate Buddy’s 14th birthday (he loved his pressies), we went food shopping, then my sister came for a visit, we later cleaned up the flat and then we had friends over for dinner and drinks. Yeah, that all happened in one day. BUSY.
Friday the 13th
On Friday the 13th M and I went to a family dinner at the restaurant that we most frequently go to, as it is super close (two stops by public transport or a 15 minute walk) and we quite like what they serve there. This is the outfit that I was wearing.
I decided to risk the chill and wear some cute shoes as I am so sick of all of my ankle boots! These are my Asos “Leap of Faith” black and white Mary Jane flats. I think they are just the cutest. They are very comfortable to wear and go with basically everything in my wardrobe (or almost everything). Unfortunately it was still a bit too cold for them and my feet felt really cold on the way to and from the restaurant. Continue reading Friday the 13th
Happy Chappie
A few days ago M and I went to see the film “Chappie” and this is what I wore. It was a simple outfit as we had decided to go to the cinema last minute. My bestie stopped by at my flat earlier in the day and I gave her some clothes I was selling on Vinted (a bright pink winter coat and a few dresses) and some other dresses that I had in storage and hadn’t worn in ages. Anyways, amongst the dresses I gave away there were about three leopard print dresses and that definitely inspired me to wear this Asos leopard print dress that I had bought not long ago (about a month or two ago).

Loving Lately: Stripes!
As Spring draws near (I may be in denial but please don’t tell me Spring isn’t on its way, I’m so over winter already!) I have been loving everything stripped lately. And a bit of gingham, and some pastel colors too. But back to the stripes, shall we? The dress that started my stripped obsession was this little Pop Boutique number:
I love that it has a little turtle neck as I feel that really offsets the shortness of the dress. The stripes are rather thin and are close together and the high neck has the stripes in a different direction. You may remember when I wore the dress here. (I cannot wait to wear it again but this time without a winter coat!) My stripe quest didn’t end with this dress though, as I managed to buy two more.
Transition
Picking up where I left off with Outfit August, here are a few picks from last week. Starting with Thursday‘s food shopping outfit. It has gotten rather cold in Prague so I’m currently wearing lots of variations of this outfit: opaque tights, sweater or leather jacket, cute dress, cute flats.
I’m sorry the photo above is so grainy, it was dark by the time we got to the store and since I hadn’t been documenting my outfits at the beginning of the week, I wanted to have at least something to show you. My outfit consisted of several old pieces (both my dress and the sweater are really old; the dress is from H&M and I bought it in 2011 – I haven’t worn it in ages but because of Outfit August, I decided to revisit it.) I’m wearing a (new) flower headband but you can’t really see it (which was my lazy equivalent of making an effort). The shoes are also new, I bought them in the middle of summer this year in the Topshop sale, they were super cheap. Right away I knew I wanted to wear them with black opaque tights to really highlight those awesome cut-outs (as much as I dislike cut-outs on dresses, I LOVE them on shoes!)
