Caped Out

zara woman cape and yellow dressIt was a bit dark by the time we took these photos so the quality isn’t very good, sorry. This outfit is from last Wednesday when M’s brother celebrated his birthday so the whole family went to dinner at our favorite restaurant. I really liked the outfit though I would have taken different shoes if I hadn’t been running late and then literally running to catch the bus. Oh well, next time I need to plan my time better so I have more time for the commute (1 tram stop and then 2 bus stops isn’t much of a commute but whatever.)

Strawberry shortcake

This is a photo (a bad one too, the lighting is terrible) from last Friday. I wore this to dinner and then to the vet’s office (Bananas needed to get her shots). Luckily the vet we go to is really fast and you go by appointment so there’s no waiting! Bananas was a sweetheart although she didn’t talk to me the next day (she was hiding in her little house, ignoring me. I’m not surprised, getting a vaccination shot is no fun. She has since forgiven me and all is right in our little world. Unfortunately she does need to get a second shot in two weeks.)

new look strawberry clutchMy outfit was centered around this  fun New Look Strawberry clutch bag. I love clutches especially when the weather is warmer. Though to be honest I could do with a bigger bag. (The search for a cute but generously sized bag continues.)

Jeffrey’s Back

IMG_6854 jeffrey campbell litasI can’t believe it has taken me so long to wear these shoes again – you may remember this post with outfit photos from February 2014, and that was the last time I had worn these awesomely high ankle boots. Until now, when I wore them on Easter Monday to a family lunch at my grandparents’ house.

Hearts and Polka dots

IMG_6823This outfit was from Sunday when M and I went to have lunch at M’s parents’ flat. We walked there instead of taking the car (M wanted to have beer and I didn’t feel like driving, because I never feel like driving) and it was actually quite cold (it had snowed in the morning). I started with picking out which bag I wanted to take. I don’t have that many good bags, a lot of my bags are showing considerable wear and tear, and most of my bags are functional rather than fashionable. However, this H&M spotted white and black satchel bag is one of my cuter bags. It fits a good amount of stuff and I think it’s really adorable too!

Ordered

I wasn’t supposed to buy anything but I couldn’t  help myself. I placed an Asos order today. I feel a bit guilty as I’m on the verge of being very broke but I NEEDED an outlet for my stress (I working on my thesis paper again and it’s about as stressful as it gets). Here are some of the things I purchased:

new look strawberry clutchI’ve had my eye on this New Look strawberry clutch and it was the one from the new line that I wanted the most (along with the pineapple one). I was thinking of getting the Skinny Dip Unicorn Tears clutch bag but that one was more than twice the amount that this one cost, so in the end I just went to the cheaper option.

Erin Condren

life planner erin condrenI am a stationery nut and I love cute things, so it is actually quite surprising that it has taken me so long to hop onto the Erin Condren life planner band wagon. Long story short, I needed a new planner and I tried getting one just at Neoluxor (the biggest book shop in Prague) and they only had really ugly planners so I finally went on to the Erin Condren site and ordered one of hers. I got the Taffy stripes one with just my name on it (it is pictured above but without the name). I got the event stickers as I think those are really great and I also got the photo stickers and I really can’t wait to see how those turned out. I can’t wait for the planner to arrive and to get way more organized than I currently am.

An unexpected movie date

IMG_6776This outfit is from Sunday evening when my bestie convinced us to go out and see a movie. They weren’t playing anything I wanted to see and because anything is better than going to go see a modern Czech movie (old Czech movies are awesome, new Czech movies are THE WORST), we ended up going to see American Sniper. I knew M wanted to see it but I wasn’t really interested and had quite a bit of prejudice against the film to begin with but in the end I was happy to have seen it. It’s definitely one-sided and obviously pro-war, but the film doesn’t pretend to be something different. I would be interested in having a look at the book (American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History) just to see how much of the movie is according to the book and what was changed. Now on to the outfit.

melissa-ultragirl-pinkStarting with the shoes. These are the Melissa Ultragirl flats that I got as a gift from M’s parents (last time I wore them here). I thought it would be interesting to mix pink with lime, I had picked the dress out first.

Avril

IMG_5486This is quite a belated outfit post (the outfit in question is from the beginning of January, ops), I loved the outfit but I wasn’t in love with the photos. I labeled this dress unlucky for a reason (read the post here). Anyways, I’m pretty sure I wore this outfit to the cinema (not sure which movie, one of the Hobbit ones maybe?)

Friday the 13th

IMG_6499On Friday the 13th M and I went to a family dinner at the restaurant that we most frequently go to, as it is super close (two stops by public transport or a 15 minute walk) and we quite like what they serve there. This is the outfit that I was wearing.

asos leap of faithI decided to risk the chill and wear some cute shoes as I am so sick of all of my ankle boots! These are my Asos “Leap of Faith” black and white Mary Jane flats. I think they are just the cutest. They are very comfortable to wear and go with basically everything in my wardrobe (or almost everything). Unfortunately it was still a bit too cold for them and my feet felt really cold on the way to and from the restaurant. Continue reading Friday the 13th

Like a Lady

IMG_6530This outfit is from Sunday lunch and it has to be one of my favorite outfits of this year. Basically the warmer it gets the more fun I have with my outfits and this Sunday, I went all out. Starting with heels (anytime I wear heels it means I’ve made an effort), these are the Melissa por Herchcovitch Alexandre wedges with brogue detailing in black. I can’t say these are my favorite wedges as they aren’t too comfy, but they’re okay. We went food shopping after lunch and I survived a whole afternoon in them, so they passed the test. That said, they’re definitely not my favorite Melissas.
