After Buddy passed away I was really sad, I get very attached to my animals and to me they are members of the family, so it was a hard time. We weren’t going to go visit Vienna this year but then M decided that I needed a change of scenery and we went for an extended weekend. The last time I was in Vienna was a year ago, in December, and it was after Dracul passed away (I think I was in more of a shock after Dracul passed away because at least Buddy had lived a relatively long life, he was about 14 years old, whereas Dracul would have only been 5 years old in the summer, so his death was completely unexpected) and I blogged about it here (you can see I look really sad in those photos). I hope next year we can go without any deaths preceding our trip, but I have to say that the change of place really did help.
The photo above was posted on my instagram and was taken in front of the Albertina museum.

This weekend I had to say my last goodbye to my best furry friend, my dog, Buddy, who has been a firm part of my life for about ten years. I will always love him and I miss him so much. He was such a good dog, a true part of the family and we are all heartbroken. The photo above is the last I had taken of him, which I took about a week ago, when I was taking care of him whilst my parents were away on a conference. He was still his wonderful cheerful self and we had had a great time, it’s so strange to think he’s gone now. The world just isn’t the same. I spent Sunday with him but he was already gone, but I am glad that I got to say goodbye to him. He meant so much to me and my family. Farewell Buddy, I love you.

I think the thing I’ll miss most about our Berlin holiday is the food. I mean starting every day with a delicious breakfast is AMAZING, especially when this delicious breakfast involves cheesecake. This was our desert on Monday (we first went to Keyser Söze for eggs and toast and then to Princess Cheesecake for breakfast dessert. Is breakfast dessert a thing? Well, I’m making it a thing because it is an amazingly good way to start the day! Yay sugar!

Sunday in Berlin began once again with a lovely breakfast – first we stopped by Keyser Söze and then we went to Princess Cheesecake – and believe me when I say I truly miss those cheesecakes, they were divine. (Btw, as far as the outfit is concerned: I wore my new trousers, new Zara bag, new Sisley sweater and my trusty old flat brogue boots from Stradivarius.)

Our trip to Berlin lasted 5 days, from Friday morning when we took the train from Prague to Berlin until Tuesday morning, when we once again boarded the train and headed home. The train takes about 4 and a half hours to get from one place to the other so it’s not so bad. After we arrived in Berlin we each purchased a Berlin Welcome card (it serves as a discount card to some attractions and also as a metro card). We then headed to our hotel to drop off our luggage and then went to have a late lunch at this really good falafel restaurant (Dada Falafel), which was right next to our hotel. Next we went to see the Botticelli exhibition at the Gemalde Galerie. Outfit wise, the majority of our vacation I wore these classic Toms in red. Love these shoes!

Hello everyone. I’m back! In Prague and on this blog… Tuesday afternoon M and I returned from our Berlin vacation, which was absolutely lovely btw. I’ll be sharing photos from our trip in the next post. I’ve been super busy since our return, what with all the work that had been left behind. Also I had to stop by uni and register for next semester. I won’t have any classes as I have all my exams finished well except for the finals, so it should be a good semester for me (more time!) but then again, I’ll have more work in the lab. Okay, now on to my outfit.

I guess my break was a little bit longer than I originally thought. Anyways, life has been good but super hectic. I passed my last exam (YESSSS!) and now I only need to finish my thesis paper and pass my finals. This outfit was from sometime in August (we had quite a lovely summer and I’m rather sad to see it go, autumn is dreary and grey in Prague.)

Sorry for being such a bad blogger but it seems that there never is enough time (yet strangely there IS time for reading large amounts of fan fiction regarding a particular pair that I ship, but each to their own). I have a stupid exam next week, one which I am in no way prepared for (typical) and so I should be spending all of my time studying. However, given that I have ignored this blog for way too long, I back with an Outfit August post.

This outfit is from the beginning of August, when it was still lovely sunny weather in Prague and extremely hot out. M and I and some friends went to the river side to hang out. It’s actually not the easiest thing to pick an outfit when it is so hot outside but I quite liked this one. I went with these cute jelly sandals. You all know I LOVE jelly shoes and these are one of the few pairs that I have that are NOT from the brand Melissa. These are Ted Baker and they are the Aster bow sandals.

This is an outfit from a while ago, it was right after my birthday and summer was starting to pick up speed (well, temperature) in Prague. M and I went to dinner and I just threw on the most casual outfit I could put together. Zara skinny jeans, H&M tanktop, Levi’s denim shirt, Tods classic canvas flats and my Iron Fist Bag.
