Friday the 13th

IMG_6499On Friday the 13th M and I went to a family dinner at the restaurant that we most frequently go to, as it is super close (two stops by public transport or a 15 minute walk) and we quite like what they serve there. This is the outfit that I was wearing.

asos leap of faithI decided to risk the chill and wear some cute shoes as I am so sick of all of my ankle boots! These are my Asos “Leap of Faith” black and white Mary Jane flats. I think they are just the cutest. They are very comfortable to wear and go with basically everything in my wardrobe (or almost everything). Unfortunately it was still a bit too cold for them and my feet felt really cold on the way to and from the restaurant. Continue reading Friday the 13th

Motorcycle Fair

moto expoHow was your weekend? M and I went out to dinner with friends on Friday night and then Saturday I had a photoshoot at the motorcycle fair that took place this weekend at Holesovice. At the moment I only have the one photo (pictured above) and this was one of the outfits that I was wearing (or well, part of the outfit, I didn’t end up wearing that shirt and had a white logo tank top instead). One of the things that I found super funny about the experience was that the outfits that I was wearing (the jean shorts from the photo above with a white tank top and a biker textile jacket and then ripped jeans and a black tank top) were not the typical slutty shit women usually wear if they are posing on motorcycles. I love breaking cliches so this was totally up my alley. Instead of visible boobs and legs I’m mostly covered up and the only thing you will see are some of my tattoos. I also had super weird hair (basically looking like Hell Boy) so fuck the stereotypes and have fun no matter what you are doing. Hope you have a fantastic week!

Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

I love Valentine’s Day. And that has noting to do with love or relationships, I just really like hearts and sweets and positivity. One of my fondest childhood memories is of Valentine’s Day at elementary school when we would all give each other paper cards we made and eat candy hearts. The great thing about being an adult is you get to give and receive actual meaningful gifts. Yay!asos harmony heeled shoes

If you’re struggling to find a gift for your significant other of the female gender or perhaps looking for a gift for yourself or a friend, Valentine’s day can be a bit tricky. What’s the perfect gift? For starters I’ll tell you what isn’t the perfect gift! Lingerie. For me, lingerie is a definite no-no. There are many reasons why it’s the worst gift and one of them is I think underwear is really something I need to try on, well, not the panties but bras for sure. A bra can be my size but it still won’t sit right so I would really dislike getting a bra as a gift. Secondly, lingerie is sort of more a gift for the giver than for the receiver. That said, lingerie can be a nice gift, it really depends on the person.

So if lingerie is out, what’s left you say? Shoes. Although shoes can also be something you feel you need to try on, but if you know a brand then you usually know what size you are with that brand. I’m usually a UK size 6 with Asos shoes, especially if they’re open toe heels (but if they have a pointed closed toe, then I need to size up to a 7). I adore the shoes pictured above, the Asos Harmony heeled sandals. The oversized bow is just adorable and I love the print of the shoes.

Mountain Girl

IMG_5547Mountain climbing/walking is definitely not my usual weekend activity. I’m a city-girl though and through, I once literally had an allergic reaction to fresh mountain air (okay, so it probably had more to  do with the chlorine used in the pool that we went to later but whatever).  I prefer the city to the country side and shopping is my cardio. Nonetheless, M convinced me (actually he bribed me) to give the mountains and fresh air a chance two weekends ago. I had one condition though…

Christmas time Vienna mini-break

Back in December M and I went on an extended-weekend mini-break to visit Vienna and enjoy their lovely Christmas themed booths selling fruity wine and candy. Heaven.

I kiss better than I cook I absolutely love that sign. So fun! And nutella’s great too. It was rather cold (mainly because I didn’t bring my warmest winter coat, stupid me) so I was glad I had my cozy reindeer sweatshirt.

Enchanted

Prague VltavaLast Tuesday was a state holiday and M and I went on a little outing. Instead of staying home we went to Prague’s city center and had quite a nice trip. Our adventure started in good form – with lunch at a place called At the Blind Cat. We had delicious crepes (that is their specialty), pictured below is the one I had (it was with warm raspberries and vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, yum) – M had a salty crepe (I’ve never had one before and was surprised that the dough was different). We also had soup (mine was tomato, yum) and we shared an additional crepe for desert (with blueberries and cream) – so suffice to say we were stuffed (I could hardly move).

Sheepy Cute

IMG_4911Last  Sunday after returning from our wine cellar outing, we relaxed at home for a bit and then later that day we went out to see the film Qu’est-qu’on fait au Bon Dieu? I LOVED the movie, it was perfect! I also loved the outfit I was wearing. I used my last chance to wear my Mr. Sheep vest. We went by car so I could get away with it (otherwise I would have been way too cold!) and I have to say yet again how much I love it: I love it a lot!

Red and Green

express HIGH WAIST FULL MIDI SKIRT in red

The weekend before last M‘s niece was celebrating her third birthday so we headed over to M‘s brother’s flat to wish her a happy bday. It was still nice enough outside that I didn’t have to be all bundled up (this week it has gotten so so cold!) and I had an excuse to wear my new red skirt. It’s from Express and I absolutely love it.

A Weekend Getaway

I took a little blogging break this week mainly because I was gone during the weekend and didn’t get any posts written beforehand plus Tuesday was a state holiday. As for where I was, well, we went to a wine cellar in Milukov with friends and it was great fun, though I could have done with some warmer weather!

20141025_134041I was freezing! (Even though I was rather warmly dressed.) Anyways, the photo above is from Saturday. Let me explain why I look so tired: we were supposed to make the trip to Mikulov on Friday night but I was feeling a bit under the weather and we were tired so we decided to drive there on Saturday morning instead. The ride normally would take about two and a half hours but it took us four! It was horrible! One part of the way (a five kilometer section) took us an hour and twenty minutes instead of the five minutes it would have normally taken. Anyways, after a rather trying drive, we finally made it to our destination, we left our things at the place we were staying, I changed clothes and we went to meet our friends (who had already been there since Friday night). We went to this little cafe and then we went to the town’s goulash festival – I was happily surprised that they had a vegetarian goulash!
