Graffiti Duck

IMG_5115See, I wasn’t kidding about wear these shoes ALL THE TIME. I wear them mostly with skinny jeans – which I have been seriously loving this month. I don’t know, either my style has gone really laid back or I’ve just become a bit more lazy, but seriously, nothing is as easy as putting on a pair of skinny jeans and a few layers and calling it an outfit.

Favorite Boots

IMG_5043This outfit is from two weeks ago Saturday when the boy and I went shopping. We bought some books and also birthday gifts for my grandpa (who is now 89 years old) and for my brother, on Sunday we had a nice family lunch over at my grandparents’ house. I didn’t take any photos on Sunday (and I had on a pretty neat pair of shoes too) so the ones from Saturday will have to do.

IMG_5046My favorite part of this outfit are the boots – I thrifted them in the beginning of November and have been wearing them almost non-stop ever since. I love them! They’re from Topshop and are super comfy. They have a flat heel perfect for walking and some shearling inside to keep me warm. They also have two buckles but I don’t have to unbuckle them to put them on or off. Oh and if you’re wondering what books I got, both are written by Mo Hayder and are Pig Island and Poppet.

Auto Love

very veronique topshop open toe ankle bootsI’m not going out anywhere this weekend or on Monday, because I have my exam this Tuesday – that means I’d have nothing to post but alas I thought, why not share one of my favorite outfits from the beginning of this year? (Before I started this blog.) This outfit, worn to a lunch date and a spot of shopping, is from February, when we were blessed with a seriously warm winter and thus I got away with wearing only a semi-warm coat. I felt amazing in this outfit, but trust me – that had nothing to do with my coat, it was all about the shoes…

Transition

IMG_3305Picking up where I left off with Outfit August, here are a few picks from last week. Starting with Thursday‘s food shopping outfit. It has gotten rather cold in Prague so I’m currently wearing lots of variations of this outfit: opaque tights, sweater or leather jacket, cute dress, cute flats.

I’m sorry the photo above is so grainy, it was dark by the time we got to the store and since I hadn’t been documenting my outfits at the beginning of the week, I wanted to have at least something to show you. My outfit consisted of several old pieces (both my dress and the sweater are really old; the dress is from H&M and I bought it in 2011 – I haven’t worn it in ages but because of Outfit August, I decided to revisit it.) I’m wearing a (new) flower headband but you can’t really see it (which was my lazy equivalent of making an effort). The shoes are also new, I bought them in the middle of summer this year in the Topshop sale, they were super cheap. Right away I knew I wanted to wear them with black opaque tights to really highlight those awesome cut-outs (as much as I dislike cut-outs on dresses, I LOVE them on shoes!)

London Shopping Pt. 2

london shoesBesides the dresses mentioned in my last post, I also bought some shoes (the 6 pairs pictured above), a cheap parka from Primark, a super cheap black miniskirt from Topshop, a petticoat, a real leather jacket, a lipstick, 3 books, 2 magazines, loads of tights, a lip balm and a pillow case. Phew, quite a list right?

Ohh La La

Just a quick little post today. Yesterday I had one of my exams, it was a written one so I don’t know how it went, but it wasn’t the pleasantest of days. I had a bit of a fever the day before and kind of just felt like crap, that’s never a good thing. Plus with nerves, well, let’s just say there have been better days. As a little lift, I stopped by Topshop and had a look-see. I couldn’t afford to buy any clothes (though I did spy this gorgeous black and white gingham skirt, swoon) but I did buy this pretty lippy that I have been thinking about buying on and off for about half a year now. I always talked myself out of it thinking that I don’t need another lipstick. But now I’m so happy that I did buy it and that I do have it, yay!

Favorites: The Shoe Edition

lanvin for H&M

In this issue of Favorites we take a look back to some of my favorite shoe moments from 2014. It won’t be a complete best-of list as some of the shoes from my collection haven’t been worn yet this year, but close enough. March in particular was fruitful, or well shoeful, it had been a very good month mainly due to the lack of snow or ice we had this year. I’m willing to say it was the best winter ever!

All the little things: Vol.1

very veroniqueI mentioned in my last post that these are one of my all time favorite earrings. I love them so much. They were an impulse purchase ages ago (well that last post was from 2009!) and I still love them as much today as I did when I bought them!I think the reason why I like them so much is because they remind me of dream-catchers. So they have this dreamy magical feel to them, no? Also I love the combination of silver and gold (when it’s done right).
