My Milkshake

new look milkshake clutch bag, red winter coat, zara grey hatSometimes, even when I LOVE something, it takes me ages to wear it for the first time. Usually, that’s due to the weather, like if I buy a summer mini dress in the middle of winter. Sometimes, I find myself simply waiting for the perfect outfit for a particular item. That was the case of this cute clutch bag from New Look:

Lush Addict

One of my favorite Christmas presents that I received was a Lush gift box from M. And it totally kick started (or well, renewed) my Lush addiction. I ADORE Lush. I’m 100% behind supporting the fight against animal cruelty, plus their products are amazing. I’ve decided to review the products from this gift box, at least the ones I have tried out so far…

Cheers

CheersI teased you with this outfit not long ago and guess what, I finally downloaded the photos from my phone onto my computer. I wore this outfit on December 21st to an anni dinner with M. (We have this silly but totally sweet tradition that we celebrate our mini-anniversary every month by having a fancy dinner.) I had just received this fabulous bag a few days before and couldn’t wait to wear it out. I have become quite a clutch fan this past year and this is definitely one of my favorite.

The Holidays

IMG_5213As much as I dislike winter (I believe it should ONLY be cold and snowing at the mountains) I really love the holidays. I typically save up my vacation days and then have a very relaxed December. I also adore kitschy holiday fashion. Give me reindeer and bells all winter long. I particularly LOVE this reindeer sweatshirt from F&F. It combines three aspects that make it a winter favorite: it was cheap, it’s super cute and very warm. And surprisingly I’ve actually been wearing it a lot!

Enchanted

Prague VltavaLast Tuesday was a state holiday and M and I went on a little outing. Instead of staying home we went to Prague’s city center and had quite a nice trip. Our adventure started in good form – with lunch at a place called At the Blind Cat. We had delicious crepes (that is their specialty), pictured below is the one I had (it was with warm raspberries and vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, yum) – M had a salty crepe (I’ve never had one before and was surprised that the dough was different). We also had soup (mine was tomato, yum) and we shared an additional crepe for desert (with blueberries and cream) – so suffice to say we were stuffed (I could hardly move).

Sheepy Cute

IMG_4911Last  Sunday after returning from our wine cellar outing, we relaxed at home for a bit and then later that day we went out to see the film Qu’est-qu’on fait au Bon Dieu? I LOVED the movie, it was perfect! I also loved the outfit I was wearing. I used my last chance to wear my Mr. Sheep vest. We went by car so I could get away with it (otherwise I would have been way too cold!) and I have to say yet again how much I love it: I love it a lot!

Files of New: the make-up

Hey guys, today I want to share some recent make-up purchases that I’ve bought these past two months. Some of the items were bought in New York and others were bought here in Prague.

tarte bon voyage make-up set1. Bon Voyage Set

This holiday make-up set from Tarte was honestly one of my favorite purchases from New York. The set contains a palette of 20 eyeshadows, a gorgeous lip tint (love it!), a lip gloss, a miniature cheek stain, mascara, a small amount of finishing powder and some maracuja oil. It also contains a make-up bag. Anyways, I bought the set for the eye shadows, which are great, so I could not be happier with it.

I had been dying to try out the new-ish Urban Decay eyeshadow palette called Electric. I have the Naked palettes (the Naked basics palette, the Naked 2 palette and also the Naked 3 palette = what can I say? I’m a fan.) but when I saw a video on Pixiwoo of Sam doing a tutorial using the Electric palette, I knew I had to have it. I bought it in Sephora in New York (I am so jealous, the Sephoras in the Czech Republic don’t have Urban Decay products), where I also bought the Tarte holiday set. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed that I wasn’t given any samples even though I spent quite a lot of money there. That’s the one thing that’s better here, at least I always get a sample or two. Also when I got to the hotel and opened this palette, one of the eye shadows was cracked so there was a bit of product spillage and I was a bit sad due to it, but then I thought – I’m being ridiculous – and was right back to my normal happy self. But back to this palette, I love it.

Files of New: the pregnant parka

IMG_4810One of my most recent purchases, I bought this parka the week we returned from New York. I stopped by my closest H&M and was looking for those dungarees but alas they still didn’t have them (will they ever?) I wasn’t too upset though because I came across this lightweight parka. I instantly fell inn love. I liked the color, I liked the shape of the hood, I liked the pockets and most of all, I liked the high-low hem line. If done right I really like a slightly longer hem line in the back. Ever since I bought it I have been wearing this parka nonstop (well, until it got way too cold to wear it, which happened this week.) Funnily enough, when I was looking for a product picture on the H&M website and I couldn’t find it, I then figured out that it is actually from the MAMA line and is intended for pregnant ladies. Ehm.

Red and Green

express HIGH WAIST FULL MIDI SKIRT in red

The weekend before last M‘s niece was celebrating her third birthday so we headed over to M‘s brother’s flat to wish her a happy bday. It was still nice enough outside that I didn’t have to be all bundled up (this week it has gotten so so cold!) and I had an excuse to wear my new red skirt. It’s from Express and I absolutely love it.
