I teased you with this outfit not long ago and guess what, I finally downloaded the photos from my phone onto my computer. I wore this outfit on December 21st to an anni dinner with M. (We have this silly but totally sweet tradition that we celebrate our mini-anniversary every month by having a fancy dinner.) I had just received this fabulous bag a few days before and couldn’t wait to wear it out. I have become quite a clutch fan this past year and this is definitely one of my favorite.
It’s the Aldo Structured Champagne Bottle bag and I love it! I had wanted the New Look Bubbly clutch (pictured below) but at that time it had been sold out (it’s currently available again on the New Look website). And then my lovely blogger friend Gemma mentioned the Aldo bag, which I right away checked out over on Asos and it was love at first site.
So, we’ve established that it’s really all about the bag but let’s take a look at the rest of the outfit:
Topshop leopard print coat
I adore this coat. It may not be the warmest of my winter coats but it’s definitely the most fun. I bought it in January 2011 and the photo below is also from January 2011. Btw, those were my all-time favorite slouchy boots, R.I.P.
Topshop fake fur earmuffs – these were a Valentine’s day gift from M in 2011. Along with that lollipop.
Zara oversized knitted scarf (bought in 2009 and sadly I only had this strange photo from that time.)
So here’s another photo of the scarf this time from, you guessed it, 2011. As you can see, I used to wear it tied rather tightly but now I prefer to wear it more loosely and I think it looks better. More of a Lenny Kravitz vibe haha.
Next leather gloves – bought in 2009.
Pull&Bear black cardigan. I’ve worn it on the blog loads. I actually have two identical cardigans that I rotate wear. I almost always have a cardigan either on or with me because I get cold super easily. And a black cardigan is the simplest choice as it goes with everything. Not sure when I bought them though, I think it was in 2013 or early 2014. The picture below is from 2014 when we were on vacation in NYC.
Cece by Cynthia Steffe little black dress. Bought in 2014 while in NYC. It has fast become one of my favorite dresses, it’s so easy to wear. Btw, I totally miss New York.
River Island Fake Fur ankle boots. I’ve had these since 2011.
Ha, it’s fun seeing the old flat again (I can’t believe we used to live in such a TINY flat and for so long!). These two photos were taken while I was taking part in Dressember in December 2011, though obviously, I’m cheating as I’m not wearing a dress. Anyways, those are all the individual pieces of my outfit and it was fun to look back at some old photos. I hope you enjoyed this post and see you soon.
LOVE that bag. I took photos of mine but still haven’t blogged them yet. It’s so fabulous and so realistic. Love the coat too.
Leopard print and red is always a winner. I love that Aldo bag too.
