Auto Love

very veronique topshop open toe ankle bootsI’m not going out anywhere this weekend or on Monday, because I have my exam this Tuesday – that means I’d have nothing to post but alas I thought, why not share one of my favorite outfits from the beginning of this year? (Before I started this blog.) This outfit, worn to a lunch date and a spot of shopping, is from February, when we were blessed with a seriously warm winter and thus I got away with wearing only a semi-warm coat. I felt amazing in this outfit, but trust me – that had nothing to do with my coat, it was all about the shoes…

Eyelet Lace

retro inspiredLast weekend M and I went to see The Guardians of the Galaxy again (I really didn’t want to have to study, plus I’m a big fan of Rocket and Groot). I knew I wanted to wear this dress because it would be one of my last opportunities this year as it looks crap with outerwear. I wanted to really exaggerate the shape so I added my petticoat underneath. It had such a lovely retro feel I thought I’d stick with it by adding this shoes to the mix:

Hug Me.

One of my semi-recent (about a month or so ago?) purchases was this Zara t-shirt. I don’t often say this about t-shirts but it is amazing. First of all, it is SUPER SOFT. It may well be the softest tee that I have, seriously.

And the fact that the shirt was on sale and was incredibly cheap. I love the sales… I wore this outfit last weekend to walk Mr. Pig and though I had gotten a few other photos, I was having a ‘bitch face’ kind of day. But so that this post isn’t so short, I will add a photo of one of my current favorite perfumes (which I was also wearing at the time of taking these photos):

Ootd: polkadots and plastic

red ballet melissa flats, polka dots, leather jacketAn outfit from last week, Wednesday. M and I went with friends to one of our favorite pubs where we used to live (I definitely miss Prague 4 more than I thought I would.) Anyways, this is what I wore…

I’ll go top to bottom. Even though I have other leather or fake leather jackets (a staple for me all year round), this one (from Zara) is by far my favorite. It has the best shape and goes literally with anything and everything in my wardrobe. It’s a dream. Suffice to say, I wear it A LOT. It goes equally well with skinny jeans as it does with skirts or dresses. It suited me when I had darker hair and it is just as nice when I’m blonde. I really love this jacket.

Bugs Bunny & Co.

printed tights, parka jacket, cut out shoesOne of my favorite outfits from this year that I wore a week ago, last Monday night to a winery with friends. This whole outfit revolves around two keys aspects – the crazy printed tights and my new parka jacket. I chose the tights mainly because I really wanted to wear these cut-out shoes and I wanted to wear something that would really emphasize the shape of the shoe.

Lucy

yellow zara dress, topshop studded shoesAfter ages of wanting to go see the movie, we finally went to see Lucy last weekend. The film was a bit ridiculous but we enjoyed it nonetheless. And there was footage of wild pigs at one point, so of course that gets my steal of approval. I especially loved the idea of being able to use the full capacity of one’s brain. That would make learning French much easier, I am sure. Anyways, this what I wore.

Zara sequin ballerina flats, leather jacketYou know when you find something that you absolutely love and you just can’t stand to part from it? Definitely the case with me and this bag – I love it to pieces. It’s an old Mango quilted circle bag with a lovely gold chain and I have been constantly wearing it lately. (I also wore it yesterday with a different outfit, which I’ll post soon.) I do not have any issues with wearing this bag over and over again, but the problem is that it is starting to show it’s age and I will need to buy a new one soon. This outfit, worn last Wednesday, features quite a few of my favorites: my newest leather jacket, an old black knitted dress, my black pashmina scarf and of course, the shoes.
