Another day, another pair of Melissa shoes. Well don’t be too surprised, after all, it is Melissa shoe week! This time it’s a pair of light blue wedges with an ankle strap and featuring an itty bitty  tiny peep toe.

I wore this outfit on Sunday to a family lunch. In all honesty I had very little time to choose my outfit and all-in-all I wasn’t that happy with it. There was a tad of too much pleather going on. But maybe it did all work together, I don’t know, looking back at the photos I like the outfit a lot more than I did while wearing it! It’s funny when that happens, isn’t it?

Wearing: thrifted Asos pleather jacket (I love that it’s quilted and the color is quite nice, but it’s  not my favorite jacket and I don’t think I’ve ever worn it  before even though I’ve had it for a couple of years), Zara TRF black tee, Oasis leather look skirt (one of my favorite skirts at the moment), old Zara studded bag (it’s very old and will need replacing soon), H&M purple tights.

These shoes are great, I’m completely loving ankle straps at the moment (perhaps brought on by the lovely three strap  heels?) and I like that the wedge isn’t massive, so they are very walkable. Also because of the added height thanks to the wedge, the shoes are more interesting than they would have been if they were flats. Who am I kidding? I just love wedges. I won’t bore you with more excuses as to why wedges are amazing, they just are.

As far as Melissa shoe week, I’m not having any trouble with wearing jelly shoes all week long. I luckily have enough styles and in enough color ways to keep me satisfied.
