On most days I go for the “no make-up” make-up look: just a bit of foundation or bb cream, a light dusting of shimmery powder and a little bit of eye shadow (with which I either help add a bit of sparkle to my eyes or I use a bit of medium brown shadow to define my eyebrows). If I’m feeling a bit more adventurous (e.g. less lazy) I do a cat eye using liquid or gel eyeliner for my eyes (I actually only use mascara at night, because that’s way too much effort for a daytime look, haha). I love that there are so many ways to wear a cat eye:
Sometimes I add a bit of color to my lips as well, though I do think a cat eye doesn’t require much of anything else! Here I used a Korea brand lip tint (Tony Moly) and a hint of blush.
Actually, the cat eye is probably my favorite of all possible eye looks. It’s because it gives off the vibe that you put in a lot of effort but it’s not really so time consuming. I also like to play around with various versions of the cat eye. Below was one of my favorite from this past winter:
There’s so many ways you can play around with the cat eye. From going bold to a bit of quirky, the cat eye can reflect your personality or just the mood you are in. Below is another look that I really liked from this year. Oh and look, it’s a guest appearance from M. He likes to act all weird in front of the camera so you’ll just have to believe me when I say that he is much more handsome in real life. Also, to give credit where it is due, he is responsible for most of the photos that you see on here (well, the full length ones that feature me) and he helped me come up with the name for this blog. I was pitching various ideas to him (Veronique loves etc.) and he came up with Very Veronique. But let’s get back to the make-up, shall we?
There’s really so many ways to alter the cat eye and I found this amazing photo below while searching for a L’Oreal product photo, that I sadly couldn’t find. But the photo below is way better anyways. I love all of the styles pictured and cannot wait to try some of them out!
I’ll be doing more favorite make-up looks in the near future, but if you want to stay on top of my looks, I really recommend checking out my instagram, where I post all kinds of fun photos, like the one below, when I tried out green lipstick!
ooh loving this guide, thanks for sharing!
